Consider Signature M650 for one main computer. Consider Signature Plus M750 when you need the documented Easy-Switch profiles for up to three devices, or want Flow between compatible computers. Both offer SmartWheel scrolling and quiet clicks; switching needs are the main reason to compare the upgrade.
This guide covers standard M650 and Signature Plus M750, not M750 AI Edition, a keyboard/mouse bundle or a Business variant. Manufacturer information was checked on October 5, 2026. We have not tested click noise, hand comfort, battery runtime or Flow reliability. What changes with the M750?
Logicool, Logitech’s Japanese operation, describes the upgrade in its official M750/M650 announcement: M750 adds three-device Easy-Switch, Flow and a cursor-speed button. Check the exact regional product rather than assuming every listing with “M750” has the same edition and controls.
| Buying check | Signature M650 | Signature Plus M750 |
|---|---|---|
| SmartWheel / quiet clicks | Supported | Supported |
| Connection choices | Bluetooth Low Energy or Logi Bolt | Bluetooth or Logi Bolt |
| Three-device Easy-Switch upgrade | Choose M750 if this is required | Up to three paired devices; button switching |
| Flow upgrade | Choose a documented Flow model if needed | Supported with compatible software/network setup |
| Button customization | Logi Options+ on supported computers | Logi Options+ on supported computers |
| Primary reason to buy | A quiet mouse for one main device | Regularly moving between devices |
Bluetooth and a receiver are connection options, not proof of three saved device channels. Logitech’s M650 product page describes broad platform compatibility; that should not be confused with the M750’s documented Easy-Switch upgrade. Also distinguish pressing a device-switch button from software-driven movement between computer screens.
Easy-Switch and Flow solve different problems
With Easy-Switch you choose the paired device from the mouse. With Flow, compatible computers can exchange the pointer’s focus and copied content through a configured network and software setup. A third paired device can be useful for manual switching without establishing that every device runs Flow.
Logitech’s Flow setup page requires Logi Options+ on the computers, pairing each computer on a different mouse channel, and the same Wi-Fi or Ethernet network. The current Options+ page provides the supported software and system requirements. Check those before buying for a work laptop where software installation or network communication may be restricted.
The Japanese M750 page lists basic use across Windows, macOS, Linux, iPadOS, Android and ChromeOS, while describing Options+ customization for Windows/macOS. Basic pointer compatibility on an iPad or Linux machine does not establish Flow or full button-customization support there. Verify your exact OS and permissions rather than transferring the connection list to every software feature.
Fit and complete cost still matter
M650 and M750 product pages offer standard and larger sizes; the US M650 listing also offers a left-handed large version. Availability varies by region. Match the exact size and handedness to your hand rather than choosing solely by the model number. We have not measured comfort and do not promise that a newer model feels better.
Check what the seller includes, the receiver type and any port adapter you need. The connection specified here is Logi Bolt; do not assume an old Unifying receiver is the required receiver for these listings. An extra receiver or adapter cannot by itself add the M750’s device profiles or Flow capability to another mouse.
Who should choose each mouse?
- M650: you mostly use one computer and want the shared scrolling/click features. Paying for three-device switching has little purpose if you never switch.
- M750: you frequently move between two or three devices, or have confirmed that both computers meet the Flow setup conditions. The drawback is paying for functions that your software or network environment might prevent you from using.
- Check the setup first: you cannot install Options+ on a company computer, need full software features on a mobile/tablet OS, or require a particular left-handed size. Choose from the actual supported configuration and local listing.
FAQ and purchase checks
Must I use Flow to switch devices on M750? Manual Easy-Switch and Flow are separate functions. Flow’s network/software conditions should not be presented as prerequisites for every button-based device switch.
Where should I compare the price? The official M650 US listing and M750 Japan listing are regional purchase references, not a same-market price comparison. Use your country’s exact model, size, package contents, delivery and return terms. No international stock or shipping guarantee is made. If you need different higher-end controls, our MX Master 4 vs 3S guide covers that separate buying decision.
